Flow Health Services Improves Access to Male Fertility Care

For Immediate Release

January 12, 2026

Innovative new service makes it easy for Canadians to get answers from the comfort of home.

Toronto, ON — Access to fertility care in Canada is too often constrained by distance, delay, and discomfort. Flow Health Services is changing that with two key innovations: virtual appointments with a nurse practitioner specializing in male fertility through Flowtelehealth, and discreet, mail-in semen analysis kits through FlowLabs, an Ontario-licensed commercial laboratory specializing in the diagnosis of male infertility. Flowtelehealth appointments and FlowLabs’ mail-in semen analysis kits are currently available to residents of Ontario, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and the Atlantic provinces (NB, NS, PEI, NL).

FlowLabs is the first commercial laboratory in Canada to offer a mail-in kit for semen analysis. Patients must have a requisition and pay for transportation and the cost of the kit; FlowLabs accepts requisitions only when issued by an Ontario-licensed clinician, and eligible patients can obtain one via a free Flowtelehealth appointment. Flowtelehealth appointments are offered at no cost to the patient, while semen analysis is covered by provincial health plans. Once results are available, patients can continue to access virtual medical support through Flowtelehealth to guide their next steps in the fertility journey, eliminating the need to spend hours in waiting rooms or take time off work.

“Together, the virtual telehealth appointments and mail-in semen analysis kits will create easier and faster access to fertility care for men and their partners across Canada,” said Dr. Keith Jarvi, Head of Urology and Director of the Murray Koffler Urologic Wellness Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital. “Currently, there are logistical barriers to getting male fertility-focused guidance, and we’re excited about the positive impact this will have for both physicians and their patients.”

Male factors are a critical but often delayed or overlooked part of the fertility conversation. By making testing and medical advice more accessible, Flow Health Services is helping Canadians navigate a healthcare system complicated by geography and wait times, empowering them to make informed decisions earlier in their fertility journey. Their advice helps patients understand if they need to make lifestyle adjustments, get further diagnostics, or see a specialist. Note: Mail-in testing and virtual reviews are not a substitute for in-person care when indicated.
